In recent years, North Cyprus has become a popular destination for international students. This is due to a variety of factors, but the most important of which are the peaceful and welcoming environment, the world-renowned quality education, and the amazingly affordable tuition fees, to name a few.

Universities in North Cyprus usually grant a 50% scholarship for international students. These scholarships are already included in the platform. Find below the step-by-step admission process to north Cyprus universities.
After you have looked through the different university options, the next step is to find and
choose your program of study. This process is very simple, absolutely free, and takes no
more than 5 minutes. All you have to do is navigate to your program of your choice,
click on "Apply Now", enter your details and upload your documents as requested and
the Himalayatravel team will take care of it. You will immediately receive a confirmation
that your application has been received.
Our support team will notify you as soon as your
application is received by the University and keep you updated on any changes to the
status of your application.
Once a student has been successfully accepted by the university, a two-step acceptance
process begins. To confirm admission, the university will issue a conditional/provisional
acceptance letter for you, which you will receive via email.
The acceptance letter will include the student's name, date of birth,
semester of admission, and granted course of study.
The Conditional Acceptance Letter will also state the amount the student must pay to
receive unconditional admission and the bank account where the money
must be deposited. This fee is known as a deposit and contributes to
the tuition for that respective semester. In most cases, the expected deposit range
between €1000 to €1500 and varies from University to university.
Please note that although Himalaya Travel helps students with the process,
the payment is made directly between the student and the respective university.
The final step of the two-step admission process is when the student is granted the Un-Conditional Acceptance letter. This letter will be delivered by the university only after it has received and confirmed that the student has paid the deposit. Once you have received the Unconditional acceptance letter, the only thing standing in the way of your studies in North Cyprus is the visa, which you will most likely receive along with the unconditional acceptance letter.

Once the visa and travel dates are secured, the next thing to sort out is accommodation.
Many Universities provides on campus affordable accommodation and you also have the options
for off-campus accommodation. Himalaya Travel will help you get an affordable, clean and nice off-campus accommodation .
Upon arrival, some universities provide temporary guest houses (1-3 days) for new students while they arrange for permanent housing.
We believe that staying on campus dormitory where all types of technological, cultural and sportive facilities are offered under
campus safety, will be the best start for your academic life. This will also shorten your adaptation period to the university.
Since your personal needs like cleaning, nutrition, transportation and security will be solved in the
best and fastest way, you will be free to focus on your lessons. We therefore advise you to opt for
on-campus accommodation for your first year.
As it is a relatively small island, not many airlines fly directly to North Cyprus. The main airline is Turkish Airlines,
with others such as Atlas Global and Pegasus as auxiliary partners.

find a flight to Ercan International Airport (ECN):

North Cyprus has direct flights from Turkey and usually only through Turkish airlines.
Please note that flying to South Cyprus requires you to obtain Visa. It is very likely
that you will be refused entry if you fly to South Cyprus instead of North Cyprus!
Traveling to North Cyprus and starting your studies can be a very exciting time. That is why, if you choose to do so, we will match you up with fellow students from your country who will be studying in the same semester. This way, when you arrive in North Cyprus, you will already know fellow students on the island.
Shortly after landing, students are expected to check in with immigration at the airport. This process usually takes no more than 20 minutes and students are expected to have all their travel and admission documents with them.
