University
of Kyrenia
The University of Kyrenia was established in 2013 as the University of Maritime, Aeronautical and Engineering Sciences
and is the first of its kind in North Cyprus. The university is focused on providing an excellent education at a very
affordable price. The University of Kyrenia, with its fully equipped infrastructure, is committed to providing quality
education and becoming an outstanding institution of choice among national and international higher education
institutions by offering a variety of quality associate, undergraduate and graduate program designed to contribute to
students.
Its educational and training origin was based on the accumulation of knowledge of the Faculty of Maritime
Studies, which was established in 1978 by its sister university, Near East University (NEU), as the first Faculty of
Maritime Studies in North Cyprus.
The cost of tuition is one of its main attractions, providing a high level of learning for students from all
backgrounds. Tuition varies from program to program, but there are other measures taken by the University of Kyrenia to
ensure that students have access to the best education, infrastructure, and experience, at almost zero cost.
On average,
students expect to pay between €2,800 and €4,300 per academic year for undergraduate programs, except for programs such
as medicine, dentistry, and pilotage, which are slightly more expensive.
Postgraduate students should expect to pay
between €350 and €800 for each course at the masters and Ph.D. levels. Interestingly, the university of Kyrenia has
several scholarships and tuition discounts for international students. For more information about tuition and fees.
