Upon provisional admission, international students pursuing an undergraduate degree at FIU will receive an immediate tuition waiver of 50%. This waiver applies to all students regardless of race, creed, color, or gender. After this waiver, the remaining lump sum amounts to approximately $1500 to $3000 per academic year for undergraduates.
Students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance in the previous semester are eligible for a merit-based scholarship that includes a 60% tuition reduction. Under this initiative, such exceptional students are given special consideration and are recommended when "internal" student positions become available in various departments of the University.
